Some things I've learned about blogging

I've had this blog for just over 1 year. I have over 200 posts and that's including the time when I took a brief hiatus because my computer blew up. I've learned a few things during that time. Nothing earth shattering, just some observations that I've made.

One of the biggest things I've learned is that you should stay true to your blog. This is supposed to be a personal finance blog but I've been blogging about everything. This blog has lost its focus big time. I have a blog on my own domain which will be strictly personal finance. My personal finance categories include school, because it's personal growth and directly impacts my finances. I may change the title of this blog to reflect the fact that it's not just personal finance related anymore.

Edit: I've put the rest of this post on my other blog. I think it fits better over there.

Sabrina, I still enjoy reading your posts. This reminds me of when someone told John Chow that he was always off topic, and his reply was that his subject is "miscellaneous ramblings". I got a kick out of that. I enjoy your miscellaneous ramblings!

Thanks Michael. I do tend to ramble a lot. That's why I have more blogs, so I can talk about anything and everything.

I think it was bold of someone to tell John Chow about his own blog!
