Would you rent out your house?
I don't think I could. I am way too neurotic for that. The U.S. Open golf tournament is coming to Pittsburgh starting on Monday. Local people are renting out their homes for a ton of money. I mean thousands of dollars for the week. While the money sounds nice, I don't know if I could do it.

I live near a horse racing track and during the summer people who live within that area can rent their houses / townhouses for the month and 1/2 its open and recoup their mortgage payments for the entire year plus whatever they pay to rent a house elsewhere. I don't live close enough to take advantage of this, but it would definitely be something to think about.
At least you would think the US Open would attract a pretty responsible class of fans.
Wow. That has to be a lot of money. I can definitely see why people do it.
Hopefully, they will be responsible people. Not the travelling party people of other sports.
